Parksons Packaging, a leading provider of paper-based packaging solutions, has improved operational efficiency across its manufacturing network by increasing the share of renewable electricity in its energy mix, generating meaningful energy cost savings.
The company has deployed solar installations at key sites, enabling onsite power generation and reducing reliance on grid electricity. To accelerate adoption, Parksons evaluated multiple financing models to identify the most commercially and operationally viable option for each facility.
Alongside solar, the company has implemented a range of energy efficiency measures across its operations, including VFD installations, LED lighting retrofits, motion-sensor controls, variable-speed air compressors, chiller optimization projects, air conditioning load optimization, heat load reduction measures, and a transition to bio-briquettes in boilers.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate how targeted investments in renewables and energy efficiency can lower operating expenses and strengthen long-term operational resilience.
